Picture Post

I thought I had better pictures of our new digs.  But, it's better than nothing, right?
In our first week here, we bought a lawn mower, and a pickup truck.  Then we all went for rides on the lawn mower, because that's what you do in the country.  :)
The white shed is on the right-hand side of the house, it's where we keep our trash cans, lawn tools and various species of wasps.
This picture is looking out on to our street.
And, here is our first attempt at a compost pile, because country folk make their own compost.
Here's Paul on our back deck.  He's in his jammies because we were staying up late to look for fireflies.  We found 'em too, but I don't have pictures of that.
Our first foray down the forest path behind our house. (See the red deck way up there in the back?  It's a darn steep hill.)  We didn't get very far before the over-grown jungle stopped us.  Those weeds have a date with a bush-hog pretty soon.
Maggie and Ellen made it their first priority to find a climbing tree.
